Below are brief descriptions of AfriQuest Incense categories:

 Diguidie Incense

Diguidie, a cherished aquatic root, is meticulously handpicked along the Senegalese and Niger rivers by resilient women. Esteemed by Sub-Saharan African women, it fosters a sense of light-heartedness and promotes positive emotions.

Gowe Incense

Gowe, a West African aquatic plant, thrives near water bodies and belongs to the same family as papyrus. Emitting a woodsy fragrance reminiscent of vetiver and agarwood, it serves as a potent tool for purifying indoor spaces from negative energies. When employed outdoors, Gowe acts as a natural repellent, effectively warding off mosquitoes.

Oud Incense

Oud, an extracted resin of the tropical Aquilaria tree, emanates a coveted fragrance—a natural defense against parasitic mold. Revered for its rich, woody, and earthy notes, Oud finds purpose in prayer, meditation, and spiritual practices. Its purifying qualities extend to clearing negative energy, fostering increased peace, and harmonizing environments.

Sandalwood Incense

Sandalwood stands as a premium wood, necessitating the harvest of an entire mature tree to extract maximum benefits from its oils. Renowned for enhancing the mind-body-spirit connection, it serves as a soothing remedy, alleviating anxiety while intensifying feelings of love, intimacy, and acceptance.

Sarkhatane Incense

Sarkhatane, a root native to Senegal and Mali, belongs to the Corrigiola telephiifolia (strapwort) plant species. With a distinctive scent that combines peppery, woody, and floral notes, it is revered for its multifaceted aroma. When burned, Sarkhatane is believed to usher in good luck and offers a comforting balm, soothing feelings of depression and anxiety.
